ALBERT FRATTALI

Al Frattali brings over thirty years experience in numerous professional and civic organizations to his seat on Town Council.

A member of the Ironworkers Local Union #405 since 1971, Al has held positions as: General Fund Trustee, Executive Board Member, and Head Contracts Negotiator.  Recording Secretary. Administrator for the Annuity Apprentice and Vacation Fund.

The ironworkers certainly recognize Al’s leadership skills! In 1990 he was elected Local #405’s Business Manager-Financial Secretary/Treasurer and was re-elected to that post in six consecutive elections!

Al’s administrative skills are also an asset to the working groups he serves. Among the professional boards and commissions on which he sits are: Commissioner- Delaware River Port Authority, Board of Directors- Penn’s Landing Corporation, Member- Gloucester County Vocational Technical and Special School Districts. Founder/President of the Delaware Valley Basic Trades.  In July 2007 Al became co-administrator of the District Council of Ironworkers for Philadephia and vacinity Health and Pension Fund.

In addition to professional leadership and civic responsibility, Mr. Frattali actively gives back to the community through volunteerism and supports many charitable organizations. He is Vice President of UNICO National- Philadelphia Chapter. He is also involved with the Philadelphia Special Olympics, Boys Town of Italy, City of Hope, Stella Maris Home & School Association and the Fairmount Sports Association. Al is a second degree black belt instructor in Shotokan Karate Jitsu and volunteers his time teaching special needs children.

For his continued commitment and dedication, Al has received numerous awards and distinctions from his peers and the community he serves. He was recognized “2000- Labor Leader of the Year” by the International Laborers Local #332, and “2003- Man of the Year” by UNICO. The March of Dimes awarded him the “2005- Service to Humanity Award” and the “Joe Hand Good Guy Award” in 2005 and 2006.

He has been married to his wife Sandy for over thirty seven years and has raised two adult children.
