As a fourth generation resident of Washington Township, Bob Timmons has watched the community grow and develop for well over forty years. During that time, Bob and his wife Eileen raised a family, launched a successful business, and became involved in numerous civic and charitable activities.

Bob brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his Town Council post. He is a US Army veteran and a member of both American Legion Post 521 and VFW Chapter 4189. In addition, Bob is a former Director of the Whitman Square Mens Club, member of the National Association of Realtors and the Gloucester/Salem County Board of Realtors.

Bob’s business career began when he launched “Timmon’s Trimmon’s,” 4-independently owned barbershops located throughout Gloucester County. His business acumen and hands-on style earned his barbershops multiple “Best of Gloucester County” awards from the Gloucester County Times and its readers.

Bob followed that success by entering the real estate profession. He is an independent Realtor with Avalar Atlantic Properties in Washington Township.

Some of Mr. Timmons’ initiatives on council include: forming a historical advisory board to help preserve the records, artifacts and historic structures of the town, working with Seniors and Veterans to further their causes, and enhancing and improving the quantity and quality of research and other materials in our local library.

Bob Timmons lives with his wife Eileen in the Bells Lake section of Washington Township. They are the proud parents of three grown children and the loving grandparents of Joseph, Matthew and Jaron.
